Magnolia High School Hosts Anti-Bullying Rally

A Magnolia High School student writes, Magnolia high school invited former NFL player Tyrone Smith who once played for the San Francisco 49ers to speak to the whole student body on the issue of bullying in schools. Tyrone is the founder of an organization called First and Goal. Tyrone Smith speaks to students all over the country on the topic of bullying.

His message addressed three aspects of bullying:

The bully, the victim and the bystander.

Tyrone presented his anti-bullying format four times, one for each grade, ninth through twelfth. Tyrone Smith's message to the students clearly supported Magnolia High School's zero tolerance policy already in place that takes a strong stance against bullying of any kind. Tyrone was well received by our students and we look forward to working with his organization in the future."

"Tyrone's message was so well received by all our students. Sharing his personal experiences allowed the students to relate to the serious issue of bullying. His message will be a great foundation for Magnolia High School to build on as we carry the banner of Anti-Bullying on our campus! Tyrone's challenge to our student body to make a difference in their school was powerful and motivating!"
